Professional Career

  • Experiences gained during 30 years as the Ministry of Water Resources & Irrigation in different aspects of Geomatics Engineering and Water Resources Management, Remote Sensing and GIS. Took part in several Applied Training Projects, Geometrical, Geodetic, as well as Physical IWRM Projects through her involvement with the team of the National Water Research Center / MWRI.
  • Added more skills to her experience while she was working as the Head of Field Studies Division of the Drainage Research Institute, NWRC, namely Water Management Projects such as "Water and Salt Balance for Fayoum Governorate", the Egyptian-Italian project for re-use of drainage water in irrigation. She took part in planning of the drainage system of Egypt within the scope of integration of irrigation and drainage policy.
  • Utilizing her experience in pilot projects in the Geographical Information System, GIS and Remote Sensing Techniques dealing with water management. She supervised the projects of the establishment of the National Gravity Standardization Net, the National South-Valley Development Project "Toshka" while she was working as the Director of the Survey Research Institute / NWRC.
  • Present position deals with developing and supervising Regional, National and International programs, workshops and conferences held under the umbrella of the UNESCO Regional Center for Training and Water Studies in the field of water management, irrigation, drainage, computer science etc. Several cooperation in the field of training with regional and international organizations such as ESCWA, CapNet, JICA, GTZ etc.
