The Opening Ceremony of the FIG e-Working Week 2021 took place on Monday 21 June, live from our studio in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. We are excited to share with you the recording of the Ceremony, which includes the official welcome by the Secretary General of Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, the keynote by the Dean of Wageningen University & Research, and the welcome addresses by FIG, GIN, Kadaster and ITC! The fact that the Working Week has been transformed to take place virtually brings in new opportunities. This special e-Working Week will be accessible from all over the world, allowing the whole FIG Community with over 250.000 members from 120 countries to join in the event. From the organizing side we will do our utmost to bring together an unforgettable conference with possibilities to make meaningful connections with our sponsors, attendees and speakers, as well as attend sessions designed to be interesting, innovative and engaging. This years' programme is supported by high level presentations in seven keynote sessions on topics within the overall theme 'Smart surveyors for land and water management - challenges in a new reality' These specially invited keynote speakers share insights into their own experience and pitfalls and present their vision and predictions covering the subtheme from each conference day. |
Thursday 24 june 2021 will be dedicated to workshops, where practical skills and knowledge are transferred in specific areas related to the FIG2012 theme - Smart Surveyors for Land and Water Management: Challenges in a New Reality. The different workshops equipt particpants with know-how and tools to tackle problems facing our world today. |
